Introducing....The long awaited Adamantine Arts site is finally here. Come one, come all to check out the new site. Sign up, play around, enjoy your stay. It has been a long wait, but we're back with a brand new site for all you artists and art appreciators to enjoy.
Finally A Community Specifically For Visual ArtsOnline communities and social networking sites are all the rage on the internets these days. There are communities for music, bloggers, comedians, college students, and just the average web monkey. However, the visual arts community is severely lacking representation online. Few sites cater to visual artists, and those who do usually do it poorly while catering to other groups. However, Adamantine Arts is, and has been since 1997, an online community specifically for the visual arts. It is a site by artists - for artists. Serving artists is not only the point of our site, is our entire organization's mission.
Site FeaturesThe new site features a variety of neat features for both visual artists and art appreciators. Check it out. Features for you to play with :
More to ComeThe current site is just the first part in a line of planned releases including :
The Old Site (http://artattack.to)May 1st marks the 5th anniversary of the last iteration of the site (formerly located at http://artattack.to). It seems like many moons ago that that site was launched. We have met a lot of wonderful artists and friends through the old site and are excited to present to all of you the new site. All member of the old site are encouraged to create accounts on the new site. We hope to see you around!
Other Goings OnThis year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Art Attack (our previous name for the organization). This year we have a lot of great programs planned and have already wrapped up a few including a gallery exhibition at Calhoun Square in Minneapolis, a four part lecture series with Scott Stulen, and an amazing mentoring program with PPL. The launch of the site is just the next step in our line of programs to support artists. And with our tax exempt status award last week, I only see great things in our future. Right now is an excellent time to be a part of Adamantine Arts. We hope you will join us.
